History

Since its foundation, 4mation has been responsible for planning and implementing event security for over 5,000 events of all sizes and security levels.

Back in the early ’90s – the Golden Age of Clubbing – we took off in the event industry.

Because of continuously increasing demand, we have also developed as a company over the years. Today, we depend on a comprehensive team of employees and have the necessary know-how as well as the required equipment for the fulfilment of security-relevant tasks.

We have always attached particular importance to the selection and quality of our employees. A first-class appearance and impeccable manners are fundamental requirements for a job at 4mation.

A foray into the history of 4mation

For more than two decades, 4mation has been involved in planning and implementing event security for many national and international events. In the meantime, this has already included historic milestones in Austria’s event history.

25 years of 4mation

We were born in the mid-’90s probably somewhere between the legendary clubbing nights in Vienna’s Sofiensälen, the Biosphere Rave in the Budocenter and the XXX clubbings in the former Gasometer. In addition, at that time, the support of the partying students at pretty much every university in Vienna was added quite quickly: from the University of Vienna to the Juridicum and the TU, to the parties at the WU University of Economics and Business Administration and the BWZ Centre of International Business Administration on Brünner Straße.

We sweated at the Beach Volleyball World Cup in Klagenfurt and provided security in the VIP and media areas at more than 100 matches of the Austrian national soccer team. We attended the UEFA European Championship 2008 matches in all four stadiums in Austria until the crowning finale at the final match at the Ernst-Happel-Stadium in Vienna. And we had the honour of working for the absolute greatest in sports history at the Gala Night of Sports and the World Sports Awards at the Hofburg in Vienna.

We swayed along at the concerts of Robbie Williams and Peter Gabriel and got moist eyes at the legendary farewell concerts of Kurt Ostbahn at the Hohe Warte and the Kaiserwiese. And we weren’t shy about looking after really big concerts like the Concert for Europe at Schönbrunn, the Summer Night Concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with up to 100,000 guests in the Schönbrunn Palace Park or the SoundStorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Here the Love Parades and the Life Ball in Vienna, there the General Assembly and Prize Giving Gala of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile and UEFA conferences and in between, the Dalai Lama’s speech at Heldenplatz in Vienna or the opening events of the Wiener Festwochen and the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna. We never had and still have no fear of contact with the most diverse groups of visitors.

Clients appreciate our seriousness in the background and our professional appearance in the limelight. For more than 20 years, we have enjoyed the trust of ministries and international organisations as well as the Viennale, the Kurier Romy Gala, ORF, Puls4, ATV and companies from a wide range of business sectors such as A1, T-Mobile, Cartier, Frequentis, IBM, Audi, Mercedes, and Lufthansa. All of these on both national and international stages.

Of course, the changing times do not leave the event and security industry unscathed and, therefore, present us with new challenges. Therefore, we regularly invest in professional training and the development of skills and competencies not only for us personally but also, above all, for the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our customers.
